| Notch
filters in the final IF stage suppress
light to medium TI, and will often cure heavy TI, including intermittent
"wipe-outs."
4 GHz TI-carriers downconvert to ±10 MHz from the final
IF center frequency and are suppressed with notch filters tuned
to these IF frequencies. Single frequency series 6367 notch filters
are available for all IF bands in current use. Correspondingly,
series 4616 tunable, switchable filter assemblies contain both
notches. For the popular 70 MHz IF band, low cost, fixed-tuned
notches are available for 60 MHz & 80 MHz (5KVseries). |
